This made me smile =)
I was sitting in the McDonalds on campus yesterday, drinking and iced tea and working on some homework. There's a huge construction project going on across the street from this McDonalds, and its not unusual to see construction workers eating lunch or taking a coffee break. So when two burly looking men sat down at a table nearby me, I really didn't pay much notice to them. Then they did something that surprised me and made me smile. They prayed for their food.
They didn't have their kids there to set a good example for, or their wife's their to nag or disapprove if they didn't pray. It was just two guys, nothing to prove to anyone, living their faith out in everyday life.
I'm not very good at that. I don't remember to pray for my food very often. I remember when there are people to impress or who I think might "judge" me for forgetting. But when I'm on my own, with nothing to prove or show other then my thankfulness to God for providing for me the way He does, I hardly ever do. Its something I'm going to have to work on.
