Emmanuel

Emmanuel is a great album that focuses on Christ's birth and also goes further to His death as well.  Its a musical much like The Messiah.  I really didn't feel like I could feature just one song from this album and have it make sense without talking about the rest of the songs as well since it is in a sort of story format.  But I did  want to make mention of it because its a Christmas favorite of mine, and one that has been a part of my Christmas music memories for many years.

I feel like listening to songs at Christmas that not only talk about Christ's coming to earth and his birth, but also his death at well kind of puts things into perspective.  Its a reminder of just exactly why  he was born in the first place, and why we should celebrate his birth all the more.

Unfortunately this is another album that I've had a really hard time finding songs to share. I was able to find the title track from the album so I will post that here along with the lyrics.
